About Franciscan Primary School

I extend a warm welcome to you and your children and thank you for showing an interest in our school. I hope you will find the information on this site a useful introduction to the school and that it gives you an insight into the school’s ethos and atmosphere.
Set in a Grade II listed building established in 1907, Franciscan Primary School is a two form entry school in the London Borough of Wandsworth, catering for children between the ages of three and eleven. We have space for 500 children, with a maximum of 30 children per class. At Franciscan we set a high value on the educational experience of all our students and achieve this within the atmosphere of a friendly learning community. We actively encourage parents and carers to be our partners in their children’s education.

Together we aim to be a school of excellence always encouraging our children to aim high, where our children can develop their gifts and potential in a creative environment. It is our goal to be a welcoming school where everyone matters and feels cared for. A culturally rich school celebrating the diversity of children, parents and staff with equal opportunities for all ensuring no child is disadvantaged by difference. At the heart of the school ethos is the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).
